The village of Cauterets has had a long and varied history, and consquently has plenty to offer throughout the year, not just in the winter months. Plus there's the added benefit of being able to wind down in the thermal spa at the end of the day.
The new Cirque du Lys gondola lift whisks you up to the slopes in a rapid 12 minutes, giving you just about enough time to plan your first run. The empty wide runs are scattered about with plenty of access points for any powder hounds. There is also a very well planned and built park which incorporates a 1000m boardcross run.
