As far as places to visit go, there are lots.  The European famous party town of San Sebastian is just an hour's drive over the Spanish border, the cities of Bayonne and Biarritz are 20 mins away on the bus and the old city of Bordeaux is less than 2 hour's away by car.  Add to this the natural beauty of the Pyrenees just around the corner and your holiday starts to fill up pretty quickly.
