The monster Hossegor surf gear sales, now probably more famous as « la venta » were pumping again this year. All the major factory outlets were offering some amazing bargains on surf wear and gear, you name it they were there : Billabong, Rip curl, Carhartt, O'Neill, Quiksilver, Roxy etc… The sales started in 1987 and the Easter weekend is now big business with supposedly more than 100,000 visitors.
We cycled over on Easter Sunday and it turned out to be a leisurely and sunny morning. The shopping area is actually so spread out that it seemed really uncrowded, there were few queues, stuff left to sift through in the Billabong bins and still time to try that new board....
