After a month off the world top 32 ranked surfers are due to descend on the tropical Island of Tahiti which plays host to the 'scariest wave' on tour.
The left hand reef break called Teahupo is a permanent fixture on the tour and come at a time when the world title race hangs in the balance.
The front runners are Kelly Slater, Joel Parkinson and Mick Fanning, all of which have won this competition and a world title in the past.
