I am almost bored of saying it but of course I am not, a HUGE congrats to Kelly Slater who has taken out the Volcom Pro Figi for the 2nd year in a row and the 4th time altogether.
Slater, who missed the first round of the competition due to the birth of his nephew, flew in late and landed in the elimination round. To say that he hit the ground running would be an understatement, annihilating his oponents from the word go, he posted a perfect heat score of 20 out of a possible 20 and 2 near perfect heat scores. The man looked unstoppable.
This win has boosted him to the top of the ratings this year. He is 41 years old and still commanding the sport of surfing, does not one have the answer? Check out the Oakley Pro Keramas which starts on the 18th June and see what happens next.
