Public Transport from Biarritz airport

Shuttle bus Airport to Bayonne town with the bus company Chronoplus n°14, runs every 15/20 minutes.Head to “Bayonne Gare” journey about 35 mins.

Public Transport from Saint Vincent de Tyrosse / Benesse-Meremne train station :

-  Bus YEGO line 1 heading to Labenne. Get off in Capbreton “Gare routiere” (bus station) or “Capbreton Eglise » (church). Journey time about 40 mins

is relatively safe and common in the region. 

Taxi

There are always taxis outside Biarritz Airport, the only slightly unreliable day is a Sunday for a taxi. If you are looking to bring surfboards or bikes then give us a call and we can arrange for a pick up, it can be a bit of a hassle on the bus with boards.

A taxi from Biarritz airport to h2o can cost about 60 euros depending on the time of day, the number of people and bags etc.

By Car

You can hire cars from all airports.  Biarritz has 5 companies operating from the Arrival Hall; Avis, Europcar, Hertz, National/Citer and Sixt.  Six companies operate from Bordeaux Airport; Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz, National/Citer and Sixt.  Pau Airport has over 400 vehicles to hire from 5 companies; Avis, Europcar, Hertz, Sixt and National/Citer.

If you are driving over from the UK and you need details of the many different ferry crossings, here are the companies:

Brittany Ferries, P & O Ferries, L D Lines, Norfolk Lines, Sea France, Condor Ferries and Speed Ferries.

Capbreton town centre is just a few minutes drive from Junction 8 off the A63 motorway from Biarritz or Bordeaux.

 

Travelling by train from the UK. 

London to Bayonne will take you about 9 hours, with a change in Paris (you will need to change stations in Paris from the Gare du Nord to Montparnasse). Depending on the time of year this can be the cheapest way to travel to this part of France.
