All of the Capbreton surf breaks are only a short walk away from the h2o house. These surf spots are known as some of the best in the world :
VVF / Les Oceanides
Easy access, head for the camper van area (brown sign) , there is a car park right by the dunes. In high season you can rent boards from here. A good spot to see Slater, and others free surfing around the European leg of the world champs. Showers, toilets, board rental, snack shack in season
La Piste
A favourite with the surf mags for pics because of the bunkers on the beach, also home break to Mikey Picon and Jeremy Flores. You can park the other side of the dunes, in high season watch out for thieves! Showers, toilets, board rental, snack shack in season.
Santocha
Probably the most surfed peak in Capbreton, still holds well on a big swell and offers some protection from the north winds, normally always good banks here and an awesome place to get photographed as the surf club overlooks the peak. Get there early if you are driving, only a limited amount of parking spaces. Good showers, board hire and snack shack.
Capbreton Plage
Just south of the Estacade, which is the old wooden jetty built by Napolean III, lies the normally low tide breaking tourist town beach, normally only breaks on a bigger swell, can be super fun on a noserider, showers, food, toilets .
Le Prevent
Right in front of the Baya Hotel and Sports Rehabilitation Centre, can be good on a big swell and offers protection from north and south winds. Lefts and Rights here.
